Stories of trauma, faith, and the long, brave work of becoming — carried from a grandmother’s dusty road to the wider world.
Jenipher “Gina” Mhlanga is a Zambian-born healing memoirist and the author of The Becoming Memoir Series. Raised across Southern Africa and now based in Chicago, she writes from inside a life still unfolding, turning trauma, faith, and reinvention into stories that travel across continents.
Her work is shaped by decades of humanitarian and volunteer service, and by the love that founded the Forever Young Sipho Initiative, her tribute to her late son and to every grieving mother. She writes for the woman who has ever silenced her own voice to keep the peace, and for every dreamer learning, again, to rise.
The Becoming Memoir Series — one woman’s journey of healing, faith, and becoming.
